It occurred to me that I now have enough fics posted to warrant organization of some kind.

Under the cut is a list of all my SPN fanfic. Please read individual postings for warnings and spoiler information, thanks.

Master Post )

I also make icons from time to time, which you can find here. I have a resource page which is here.

I am also hosting a Recipe Swap which you can find here.

I've got turkey number one in the oven, and I've got about an hour before I start peeling potatoes. So I figured I'd share a few things.

In no particular order of awesome:

[info]bobbinrob posted an AMAZING Katie Cassidy pic spam yesterday in honor of her birthday. I can't imagine a better way to spend my morning coffee.

I read this trippy fic: The Point Of No Return" [Sam/Dean, NC17, AU, Spoilers for 5.04, 6300 words] I don't actively seek out Sam/Dean fic, but I'll never pass if it's part of a good story. The author grabbed my attention with her summary, and my hand was clicking before I knew it! There are some parts that I had to re-read, but it's a good story, and the kind I was thinking about later, long after I'd finished reading it. The best kind, IMO.

Oh, HAI! How about 100 PRETTY, ARTSY AND NSFW M/M icons by [info]tehopheliac?

And this meme came out of a discussion at the lounge yesterday, and I think it's a great idea.

The Underappreciated Fic Meme!

We've all been there: you pour your heart and soul into a piece of writing, pulling out all the stops, taking the time to make it great. It's a piece you're really proud of... and very few people read it!

Here's your chance to change that.

It's simple. Pick one fic that you really wish had received more attention, because you're genuinely proud of it. Link it in the comments, then browse around the other offerings. Pick one (or two, or three!) that you like the look of, and go leave a comment! Spread the underappreciated love

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Title: King Misha and the First Thanksgiving
Author: [info]autumn_lilacs
Beta: [info]rebekahfair
Rating: G
Genre: crack!RPF
Word Count: 1,928
Characters: Misha Collins, Minions of Misha (M.o.M.), others ;)
Disclaimer: I swear upon a stack of Misha’s that this is not true and never happened.
Warnings: If you’ve read King Misha and the Pit of Despair, then no warning is necessary. Heh.
Summary: A tale regarding the Fourth Thursday in November, inspired by Misha Collin’s Twitter.

Lengthy and probably unnecessary author’s notes: I’m working on a Mission Impossible inspired King Misha sequel. However, at three tossed attempts, I’ve no idea when it will be ready! But yesterday I decided that I wanted to put something up, in way of thanks for everyone who has enjoyed the first King Misha. I had to write half of it on my Blackberry, but here it is! Huge thanks to [info]rebekahfair for the super fast beta. She has a thousand things to do, and immediately dropped them all so this could be posted before Thursday. She’s awesome, yes?

Once upon a time there was a King named Misha. He was a just ruler, both kind and fair, and his kingdom loved him dearly.  )

Happy Fourth Thursday in November to everyone!

I finished my was-never-gonna-be-finished LotR fic! It ended up being a grand total of just over 80k, and while I'm not 100% happy with it, it hadn't been updated in over six months and now it's FINISHED.

So I wanted a few icons to commemorate the occasion, and figured I'd share in case anyone else suddenly has a pressing need for LotR icons. I downloaded the caps from the first disc of Two Towers, and made a few. Since Thanksgiving is nearly here, and I'm totes stressed I might be making some more. I was experimenting alot with coloring this time around.

Thirteen LotR: TTT icons under the cut, precious! )

In keeping with my personal "Fic Finishing" challenge for November, I'm finishing the last chapter of Ariel, Another Kind Of Angel. I'm up to about 7500 words on that so far. Which, isn't too shabby. I'd like to finish my Ruby backstory fic after that. But first, I have to find it. *facepalm*

Do I have a WIP posted that you've been waiting for me to finish? Other than Ten Wishes and All I saw Is Ruin-those already have a spot in the schedule. My folder system is absolutely made of fail. Mainly because I didn't have a system until recently. So for instance, the Ariel story had about fifteen various files. Stuff I started and then decided I hated it and started over, but I liked the one scene so I didn't want to just not SAVE IT. That wouldn't be so bad if I'd decided on a TITLE. But NO, so I typically have multiple versions of the same story, all named DIFFERENT THINGS. *sigh*

Anyway if you've been waiting on an update on a WIP, now is a good time to let me know. My brain is tired, and I've lost track of them. Which is sad, I know, but it is what it is.

I want to kick myself, but I started a new LotR AU. And a short story (original fic) called Keys. The main character has a story for every key on the ring, basically.

I am matching the Santas to their recipients for [info]spnwriterlounge. I even made a fancy spreadsheet and everything.

In RL news, I am absolutely sympathizing with Zoolander. I slept wrong or something, and woke up with a huge crick in my neck. I haven't been able to turn left all day!

I quit smoking. Again. Haven't had a cigarette since Friday morning. Meh.

Two turkeys and 20 pounds of potatoes. I'm nearly ready for the 2 days of cooking I have to do to feed the hoarde. The men in my family seem to think they will not eat again until NEXT Thanksgiving or something. IDEK. Anyways leftovers are scarce up in this house. SCARCE.

If you celebrate it this Thursday, are you ready for Thanksgiving?

My husband came home from work one day totally geeking out about this, so I gave it a try. It's free, online back up of documents and pictures, up to 2GB. They do offer more storage, for a fee. I've had it for nearly a week, and so far so good.

Basically you install, create a folder in your dropbox and drag your fics into it. When you open and modify your file, after you save and close it, Dropbox automatically updates the copy stored online. User friendly, secure online backup, accessible from any computer, and totally share-able if that is your wish. Just an FYI: Anything you put into either the "Public" folder or the "Pictures" folder that Dropbox creates for you is public. Any folder YOU create is private, unless you choose to share with someone. It does have a mobile version of their site, as well as an Iphone-Ipod Touch app so you can do fun stuff with your phone as well.

The site is here, if you'd like to try it out for yourself.

I'm sure most of you have seen the newest anon meme going on at the moment. You submit your name yourself and people can leave anon comments about you, for better or for worse, and no one can submit another person's name.

That's great and all, but I'm not doing the meme. Instead, I want to love on my flist.

I've seen a meme similar to this floating around sometime back, but I'm not in the mood to search it out and copy/paste it. So....

Comment here and I will tell you why I like/love you. I'm feeling particulary mushy and sentimental at the moment, so better take advantage since I've got no idea when THAT will ever roll around again :D

Even if we don't talk much, I want EVERYONE to participate. If you want to share the love and do the same at your journal, go ahead. You're under no obligation to carry it on if you comment here.

I want to see lots of people to love on when I get home, people. This means YOU. PLEASE DON'T BE SHY.

;)

P.S. With regards to anonymity and memes, I truly hope that everyone here feels like they can approach me if I've done something that bothers them, without the need for things like anon memes. My PM box is always open, 24/7. The idea that people might find me not easily approachable makes me incredibly sad.

Someone already prompted both Gilligan's Island AND The Dukes of Hazzard! (Actually the same person, so obviously I must stalk them and force them to be friends with me!) All the beautiful prompts are making me dizzy with Glee (ha!). Go see for yourself!

Title: Big Girl
Word Count: 400-ish
Rating: G
Characters: Sam, OFC:Maddy Winchester
Summary. Maddy is a big girl now!
Disclaimer: Someone else owns the awesome that is Sam Winchester.
A/N: Set in the Ten Wishes verse (An angsty WIP). Trying to get back into the swing of things, so I wrote a teensy ficlet. Set in the past, during Maddy’s toddler/preschool years. Un-beta'd, which is probably a mistake.

I finally got to watch! )

I can't remember the last time I wrote anything!! It feels like it's been forever, what with all the things happening around here lately. I need like a drabble or ficlet to get back on the horse I think, something from the Ten Wishes verse since that's what I intend to pick back up in. I didn't sign up for Nano, but instead decided to challenge myself by trying to finish some of my unfinished things. I'm thinking I might try a little snapshot thing of Sam coping with new fatherhood, with Maddy still a baby, maybe. IDK. I need to write SOMETHING though, or my brains will explode!

I told husband tonight that they finally added Jensen Ackles to the Creation Con in LA, but that the photo op price was $130. He made a noise that was kind of like, "Well yeah."

So I'm like, "Jared was only $99! How can Jensen be so much more expensive?"

He looked at me like I was stupid. "Helllllooo... He's Jensen Ackles!"

It's like...sometimes I want to strangle him and kick him and stab him with a spork. And other times he just makes me laugh and laugh. He also thinks I'm being stupid "to fly all the way to the other side of the ever lovin' country" and NOT get my picture taken with Jensen.

Our 15th wedding anniversary is on Thursday.

I guess I'll keep him around a bit longer.

(Sorry that I keep disabling comments on you! But I'm kinda not ever sure when I'll be back on and I hate not answering comments right away. This week is just all unscheduled and busy and stuffs. But I wanted to share something not depressing or morbid for a change! :D )

My brother got married yesterday, and we had a fabulous time at the wedding and reception.

You might remember me speaking of my Grandmother in the past, she had Alzheimer's and was almost as big of a character as my father. I took care of her finances, etc., and she used to bring me a pepperoni pizza every time I balanced her checkbook, forgetting the whole vegetarian thing and then saying she didn't even now what a vegetarian was. She was also full of gems like, "Don't get old. Your skin looks turrible when you get old!!"

She had a really good time this weekend with all the festivities. As a matter of fact, her dinner plate last night was made entirely of cookies, lol. When I said something, she replied "Hey, you only go around once!"

She died in her sleep sometime in the night; her friend found her this morning.

I'm not going to be around for awhile.

Hugs for you all; I'll miss you!

ETA: Because some of my text had been eaten by the LJ monster, and some of that didn't even make sense, ha.

Thanks to everyone who has sent me kind words and thoughts. I'm blown away by the people who I've heard from, and the people here who have stepped up to help with arrangements. I'm on my way out the door again, but I wanted to just state, that everyone, everywhere, is just freaking awesome.

Love you guys and gals.

I have to try and find a new DJ by six o'clock tomorrow night.

Also, I have to Macgyver some sort of gag device for my father because: "Inviting a few more people won't hurt anything." 'Few' is code for a 'dozen' in Dadspeak.

Dear Canada,

Thank you for Crown Royal. ILU4everandever.

Love, Me
